Salsa Criolla

Esta salsa es perfecta para acompañar con un mofongo!

Receta para dos porciones.

Ingredientes:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 crushed garlic cloves

  • 1 ounce of chopped onion

  • 1 ounce of chopped peppers

  • 1 tablespoon of sofrito ( you can find in the Hispanic frozen section)

  • ¼ cup of tomato sauce

  • ¼ cup of chicken broth, fish broth or beef broth (you can use stock or water)

Procedimiento:

  1. To a skillet at medium heat, add onion and pepper. Cook until softened, then add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.

  2. Add the the sofrito and cook for about 30 seconds.

  3. Add the tomato sauce and the broth, stock or water. Cook for another 10 minutes.

  4. Check for seasoning.
